Overview
The FERMA project, led by Socodevi in Morocco’s Khenifra National Park area, uses comprehensive forest ecosystem management to assist 25 women’s cooperatives in building climate resilience and advancing sustainable community development. The initiative aims to enhance climate adaptation capabilities among women and youth while championing nature-based solutions for cedar forest restoration and biodiversity preservation. It seeks to expand economic and social advantages from ecosystem protection and foster more equitable, inclusive governance in community organizations.

In addition, Tayo spearheaded a Forest Carbon Summit, where Moroccan technical and policy experts were brought together for an inclusive knowledge-sharing and capacity development event which included several field sessions on forest carbon management led by Tayo.
